Littleton Local History

This Group was formed about 20 years ago and currently has a membership of over seventy. The group aims to explore the history of Littleton and its surrounding areas, to undertake related research and publish the results where possible: this information is shared through meetings and exhibitions (particularly those held bi-annually at the Littleton & Harestock Show).

Activities include meetings with speakers on various topics of historic significance; village walks; contacts with other history groups; field walking; visits to local and national record offices; mounting exhibitions and the publishing of pamphlets and booklets. For a taste of local history see the History pages on this website.

Meetings are friendly, informal, informative and enjoyable. New members are always welcome – information may be obtained from the Hon. Secretary: Deirdre Wratten – 01962 880462.
